Vom 03. bis zum 18. Dezember 2025 unternahm die Filmklasse der HBK eine Exkursion nach Japan. An der Exkursion nahmen neun Studierende und der Professor der Filmklasse, Michael Brynntrup, teil. Insgesamt besuchten wir drei Städte: Kyoto, Osaka und Tokyo. Vor Ort lernten wir nicht nur die UNESCO World Heritage Sites und die bedeutendsten Kunstmuseen des Landes kennen, sondern beispielsweise auch die Tokyo Art Book Fair. In Kyoto trafen wir die Filmmaker Coop 'Calling' zu einem gegenseitigen Filmscreening und erhielten eine Campustour an unserer Partnerhochschule Seika University. In Tokyo besuchten wir verschiedene Ausstellungen und hatten Gelegenheit, aktuelle, eigene Arbeiten der Filmklasse im renommierten Image Forum Tokyo zu präsentieren.
From 3 to 18 December 2025, the HBK film class went on an excursion to Japan. Nine students and the film class professor, Michael Brynntrup, took part in the excursion. We visited a total of three cities: Kyoto, Osaka and Tokyo. While there, we not only got to know the UNESCO World Heritage Sites and the country's most important art museums, but also visited the Tokyo Art Book Fair, for example. In Kyoto, we met the filmmaker cooperative “Calling” for a mutual film screening and were given a campus tour at our partner university, Seika University. In Tokyo, we visited various exhibitions and had the opportunity to present the film class's current work at the renowned Image Forum Tokyo.
