Die zweite Woche unserer Exkursion verbrachten wir in der Megacity Tokyo (zusammen mit den rund 38,5 Millionen Menschen drumherum). Wie schon in Kyoto ist auch diese Stadt voller Tempel, wenn auch vorwiegend Konsumtempel. Wir wurden von Erdbeben und Tsunamis verschont und hatten Glück mit der zeitgleich stattfindenden Tokyo Art Book Fair, der weltweit größten Kunstbuchmesse (im Museum of Contemporary Art). Auch andere Kulturtempel konnten wir besuchen, darunter das Mori Art Museum, das TOP Museum (Tokyo Photographic Art Museum) und natürlich den Imperial Palace Tokyo. Ein Highlight unseres Aufenthalts waren die Vorführungen unserer Filme im Image Forum Tokyo.
We spent the second week of our excursion in the megacity of Tokyo (together with the approximately 38.5 million people living in the surrounding area). As in Kyoto, this city is also full of temples, albeit mainly temples of consumerism. We were spared earthquakes and tsunamis and were lucky to coincide with the Tokyo Art Book Fair, the world's largest art book fair (at the Museum of Contemporary Art). We also visited other cultural temples, including the Mori Art Museum, the TOP Museum (Tokyo Photographic Art Museum) and, of course, the Imperial Palace Tokyo. A highlight of our stay was the screening of our films at Image Forum Tokyo.
