Ein Tag zu Besuch bei unserer Partnerhochschule Kyoto Seika University. Keith Kokusa vom 'Global Office' stellte uns die Stadt und die Kunsthochschule vor und gab uns dann eine ausführliche Tour über den Campus. Beeindruckend die Lage in der hügeligen Waldlandschaft und auch der uni-eigene Zoo für die Naturstudien am Lebendsubjekt. Die Seika ist bekannt für ihren Studiengang zu Manga und Anime. Nach einem Lunch in der Mensa lud uns die Universität noch zu einem Besuch im nahegelegenen buddhistischen Entsū-ji Tempel ein: Eine harmonische Annäherung an japanische Tradition und Kultur, und ein erster, tiefer Moment unserer Reise.
A day visiting our partner university, Kyoto Seika University. Keith Kokusa from the Global Office introduced us to the city and the art university, then gave us a detailed tour of the campus. The location in the hilly forest landscape was impressive, as was the university's own zoo for studying nature in living subjects. Seika is known for its manga and anime degree programme. After lunch in the canteen, the university invited us to visit the nearby Buddhist Entsū-ji temple: a harmonious introduction to Japanese tradition and culture, and a first profound moment of our trip.
